Hands to Work; Hearts to God
Hands to Work; Hearts to God is a ministry group that focuses its work on mission projects in and around the city of Dayton. St. John's UCC has had a long history of mission work in the City of Dayton, and current members strive to continue that history. Current mission projects include work at the House of Bread, St. Vincent de Paulhomeless shelters, and the International School housed in St. John's building.
Hands to Work; Hearts to God serves lunch each month at the House
of Bread. We prepare and serve lunch bimonthly at St. Vincent de Paul
homeless shelters. Each year the ministry group hosts a reception for
the students of the International School. The group also provides
classroom supplies, winter hats, and umbrellas to the students who are
immigrants for many countries.
Hands to Work; Hearts to God mission projects are intended to show
that the work of our hands reflect that our hearts are focused on God
and on God's work.
